Dr. Vanita Jassal is currently a Staff Nephrologist at the University Health Network and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. She has training in clinical nephrology, geriatric medicine, and clinical epidemiology. Her current academic interests include: changes in functional status with ageing and renal disease; falls and fall-related morbidity in dialysis patients; and the management of seniors with chronic kidney disease. She has an active interest in all aspects of care of seniors with advanced kidney disease and those who are established on renal replacement therapy. She is currently also the Director of a specialized rehabilitation program, which targets disability in seniors on dialysis, in Toronto.
