Olof Heimbürger (born 1957), MD, PhD, Associate professor of Nephrology,
Division of Renal Medicine, Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology, Karolinska Institutet. Stockholm, Sweden and Senior Physician, Director of Peritoneal Dialysis, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden.
Ph D Thesis (1994): “Peritoneal transport in patients treated with continuous peritoneal dialysis”.

I have more that 20 years of clinical nephrology experience and has published more than 200 papers and textbook chapters on peritoneal dialysis, nutrition, inflammation and cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic renal failure.

I am a council member of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (secretary).

I am member of the committee for the Swedish Nephrology Guidelines as well as the European Renal Best Practice.
