An De Vriese An De Vriese received her degree in Medicine from the Ghent University in 1992. She spent one year at the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein, RSA and performed research at the Institut für Anatomie und Zellbiologie, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität, Heidelberg and at the Institut de Recherches Servier, Paris. She was Research Assistant of the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research at the Ghent University from 1999 to 2001 and obtained a Ph.D. in Medical Science in 2001. She has been Guest Professor at the Ghent University and is currently head of the Department of Nephrology in AZ Sint-Jan Brugge. The focus of her research is diagnosis of cardiovascular disease in end-stage renal disease and peritoneal membrane alterations caused by uremia and peritoneal dialysate. < Back to list of speakers |
