Speaker Pic Eric Boulanger

Eric Boulanger received his MD degree in 1993 at the University of Lille (France). He trained in nephrology and peritoneal dialysis in Lille Regional University Hospital. He was particularly implicated on acute haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Eric Boulanger focused his fundamental research on Advanced Glycation End-products (AGE) and their interaction with the specific receptor RAGE, especially the mesothelial RAGE. He received his PhD degree in 2004 at the University of Paris and he made his post-doctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Pr Ann-Marie Schmidt at the Columbia University of New York (USA) where the RAGE has been characterized.

Eric Boulanger is professor of geriatrics and aging biology. He is the head of the Vascular Aging Biology team of Lille Medical School. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Peritoneal Dialysis and Néphrologie et Thérapeutique.
