Dr Robert Mactier MD FRCP, Consultant Nephrologist and Lead Clinician, Renal Services, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Forth Valley, has had a subspecialty interest in home dialysis therapies (PD and HD) for more than 25 years. He leads the national audit of PD which has been performed by the Scottish Renal Registry since 1999. He has published clinical research in peritoneal physiology, biocompatible PD fluids, peritonitis, encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) and patient outcomes in PD and home HD in peer review journals.
