Jeroen Kooman, MD, PhD is associate professor at the department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital Maastricht. Dr Kooman has co-authored approximately 150 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters, most of them on clinical research in dialysis therapies. He is member of the editorial board of Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation and Blood Purification and serves as reviewer for various other journals in the field of nephrology. He is past member of the Dutch Quality Improvement Committee of the Dutch Federation of Nephrology and member of the Scientific Council of the Dutch Kidney Foundation. Dr Kooman has received grants and/or speaker fees from Baxter Healthcare, Gambro Corporate Research and Fresenius Medical Care.
