Dr F. Fevzi Ersoy
Professor Dr. F. Fevzi Ersoy is a faculty member in Akdeniz University Medical School, Division of Nephrology, Antalya, Turkey. A graduate of Ankara University, Turkey, Dr. Ersoy has completed his nephrology training as a clinical fellow in University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. Dr. Ersoy continued his work in Akdeniz University, mainly has engaged in promoting the development of peritoneal dialysis as a modality in Turkey. He is currently the president of Turkish Peritoneal Dialysis Multicenter Study Group (TULIP) which acts as a peritoneal dialysis working group for Turkish Society of Nephrology. His main areas of interest are CKD-MBD in peritoneal dialysis patients and issues in peritoneal dialysis technique survival. Dr. Ersoy is the editor of Turkey’s first extensive Peritoneal Dialysis Textbook. He is currently a council member in International Society for Geriatric Nephrology and Urology. Some of his work has been collaborative, multicenter studies participated by Greek, Canadian and Turkish Centers. Professor Ersoy has acted as General Secretary and Scientific Committee Chair for 12. ISPD Congress, Istanbul, 2008. He is currently among the peer reviewers of international journals such as Peritoneal Dialysis International, Kidney International, Nephron, AJKD, International Urology and Nephrology and Nephrology Dialysis and Transplantation.
